I have two batches of Cacatuoide eggs that are hatching. I guess they could be considered wigglers now. They are hanging on to the inside of a rock still and have not come out yet. I can see their eye's and tails now. I am still feeding the parents bbs with a mixture of golden pearls, NLS and occasionally some frozen food that is a variety pack from DNA. Will the Fry be ok with the bbs, or do I need to give them something else until they are big enough for the bbs? Also, when do I start feeding them? I am assuming when the mothers lead them out of the rocks.

Thanks.

The BBS will be fine.

What I do so it easier for the fry to get bbs is turn off the lights over the tank.

Either have the room light on or another source of light.

The bbs are attracted to the light so they will go to the front of the glass or where ever you put your light source.

Most of the time the fish will go feed from the grouping of the bbs but, just like people some fisher are smarter than other ones.

If you can manage I would feed twice a day. Morning and Evening. I usually only get around to once a day.

Do you have the two females with the male or how are you set up right now?

I have all three of them in a 10 gallon tank. It has a sponge bubbler filter only now. The females keep the male at the top of the tank or in one of the corners most of the time. There are not as many fry, but there are still about 15 or 20 maybe.

It has gotten pretty dirty at the bottom, but I am afraid to vacuum it up and get some of the fry. I guess it will be ok with just small water changes for now.
