View Full Version : My new Community tank (LOAD WARNING)

Setup a community tank today. This tank was a holding tank for some of my larger fish, and it became vacant as of today. It was pretty much just bare gravel so I added a few things to give the new much more peaceful inhabitants some places to hang out. Think I got some Balloon rams, some Bolivian Rams, and some other fish that I dont remember the name. Some of the pics are a little blurry, these little dudes move alot and I dont have a macro lens :confuzeld: Enjoy!

Dimensions are 48x13x25. Has an undergravel system with 2 power heads and a Fluval 405 canister underneath, all bio and mechanical.

Ive been kicking that around. Ive tried live plants in the past and ive never had any success. Mostly because I didnt know what I was doing. I need to do ALOT more research. So many plants, so many different lighting needs. To co2 or not, fertilizers, etc.

Allready lost both Balloon rams :confused:. This tank has been cycled for well over a year. The other fish are doing great. Must be some parameter of my water way out of spec for those guys. Are they known for being fragile?

That sucks. Yes, rams can be very fragile. I can only assume the balloon mutation makes it worse.

that and most likely it was being harrassed by the others...
