no doubt this has stumped me for a while. they were picked out of a group of about 30.

they were sold as red back scrapers but they look nothing like the pics i find on the net

man the coloration is very close but the head structure is very diffrent.

after 4 days of picking every ones brains that i can find.
its paralabidochromis,sp. fire. i finally found some 5 year old pics on the hcc site.

i doubt its a hybred as they were purchased from a reputable sorce, problem is they are not able to be contacted,
i was just told that hap sp fire and paralibidochromis sp. fire are the same fish. but i found some identical fish on these links

so i m still at a loss. some of the pics on the url are like the mystery fish and some are like my hap. sp fire red ugandan. however they arent the same.
so the search continues.....
