I am not sure about you guys, but my sidewalks are crawling with earth worms after the storm. My fish are all fat and happy. If you decide to do this, be aware of chemicals and such used where you pick yours up. We have kept our property organic since we moved in 6 years ago, so I am not concerned. The rain should keep them fairly washed and OK, and if you bring them in and rinse them before you drop them in, you should be in good shape. Earth worms are pretty good indicators of healthy soil, so if you see them likely there are not many chemicals in the soil to worry about.
My Rotkeils absolutely love them. The female nails them before the male has a chance. Woo Hoo free food!

i do it every year...Of course mine are all organic, raised on honey and sunshine :D
Honestly, my green terror will eat anything that drops in the tank! I've even tried to get snails to my big clown loaches but the GT is too fast. earthworms, inchworms, whatever bugs I find... ok, ok. not whatever bug I find. I'm too repulsed by spiders to think about that!

I remember when i was a kid my mom and dad had a big oscar and I would go fetch junebugs for him, he would all but jump out of the water to get them. He would have three-four of them in his mouth at a time.

I would go to walmart and buy the canadian night crawlers for $2.99 and feed them to my GT, Oscar, and Convict. I would always hold one up to the glass before I dropped it in to show it too them. They would dance with excitment waiting for me to give it to them.

Yeah, my true Parrots Hoplarchus psittacusgo nuts on them. The male is such a big bully and eats like a bass. The Chocolate Cichlid I still have loves them. He prefers to eat off the top of the water anyway and is always lurking waiting to take what ever falls in.
