Wow. Those are BEAUTIFUL! Snob... ;) hehe j/k They really do look great! And I really like the setup in your tank, the driftwood looks really good. Man, the more I see of driftwood, the more I want to add some to my African tank! Congrats on the awesome looking fish!

They aren't "cheap" fish...and, it's really not easy to find quality Discus around here. I"ll have to post pictures showing these guys and the others I bought at DFW LFS. I can now say that I have a MUCH better idea of what quality Discus look like.
I'm just very lucky have been able to get these beautiful fish!

Michelle,
They look great in that tank! Since I kept them in barebottom tanks their whole life, I'm sure they are wondering "what the heck is this stuff on the floor..and what's this green stuff...LOL
I hope that they continue to do well for you.

20 to 200 bucks at the fish city in plano square mall(spring creek and plano)
fat those are some beautful fish makes me want to find a 55/75 gallon tank and set it up for discus.
excellent pics- but the pics don't do them justice. You gotta see them in person to really appreciate.
Kathy- those are AWESOME!! I think the "snob" is a worthy title considering what you're producing. :)

LOL...thank you...I think?
Those are nice fish, but they weren't by any means the best. They were too good to cull, but a bit small. I have some of their siblings that are about a year older than them and they did the same thing. They were a little slow growing but they kept growing after a year old and made up for the size and then some. They are 2 years old now and at least double their younger siblings in size. I haven't put a measure to them, but I'd bet there are a few that are at least 7 to 8" from nose to tail.
I'm pretty much done with the breeding thing. It was fun, but way too much work and I don't have room to raise more than one clutch/spawn (whatever you call it) a year. Then I also have the problem of wanting to keep them all.
