I picked up a Fossorochromis Rostratus from them today. It's really cool looking cichlid. Greenish blue color with orange on the head.

I FINALLY GO TO GO TODAY!!!!!!! WOOO HOOOO!! Richard helped me!! And he was soooo nice! I picked up 2 German Reds, 2 Blue Peacocks.....I don't know what they are yet!! A Big Venustus, 2 Ob's peacocks with AWESOME COLOR....and everyone is doing GREAT!!! If it wasn't such a far drive for me I would go all the time!! I guess it will just be my little treat!! NICE PLACE..GOOD PRICES....AWESOME PEOPLE!!

They DO know their stuff... I've been there several times in the past couple of years, mostly for betta food or misc. items. Great store!

I finally had a patient to see close to JFP and went there today! Wow! I was like a kid in a candy store! I drooled over their show tanks! Cahn was so nice, he gave me 50% off the females I bought! I bought some replacement female Red Empresses,a trio of Sulfer-heads, and a trio of Red Jewels! Went ahead and bought some NLS food,some chemicals, and some bio-balls! I could have stayed there all day! I was surprised they have Dainichi and their prices were fantastic! I recommend anyone who hasn't been there to make a trip ASAP!

Loved this place!!! They had a great selection of cichlids... and their prices are pretty good. :) Richie (sp?) was really cool as well... he helped me out while I was there... I'll definitely be heading back there.

so i just looked at their site... almost done... almost........

so i just went up there today and cahn was very helpful, checked and rechecked me water to make sure he could tell me my exact ph. i went up there to get the red eye puffers that he's got but after much test tube testing i came to find out that my ph is about right for some african cichlids. i'm going to do a 50 percent water change this week and see if that doesn't help bring the ph down to a more suitable range for those guys. i didn't make the trip for nothing though, i left with a nice pair of ameca splendens who are tearing up me black beard algae already!!! can't wait to go back and pick up those puffers and maybe some apistos!

I don't find fish store websites to be effective sales tools for anything except addy, hours and phone number- unless you've got a mail order business goin.

But I love seein this thread lit up with another great visit. The guys are priceless!!
