Well as some of you have read in the African section...
My Red Empress' are breeding.

Yesterday I removed the alpha male and moved him to my big tank because he was all colored up.
Well I knew there was another male in this tank along with 4 other females... and this male was actually larger than the one that I took out.
Lastnight I accidentlly left the light on all night... and today I woke up with one 2 females holding. One has a FULL mouth of eggs and the other just looked to have a few.

That just changed and I caught it on video.

Sorry about the quality but all I had was my digi camera.

How do you make a fish spit? I have a female Kenyi that is holding either eggs or fry and want to make her spit them into my 55 gal. Help!

Thanks Jerod. I think I am going to just let her do her 'thing'. I don't know how long she has been holding, and I am afraid I would wind up killing her or her babies.

if you have an idea of how long she's been holding, I've stripped anywhere from 21-25 days.

Lol! Well, she finally let go of her fry, and I have about 5 of them and about 5 juvies from the other female. I have two male Kenyi, but the biggest, horniest, most aggressive one seems to be the daddy. I have another female holding again. She has turned kinda of orangeish like the males and hiding a lot. I figured she is stressed out from all the, er, mating rituals. :D My yellow labs aren't doing sh*t, and the only thing I can think of is the big male Kenyi is chasing them too much. Anybody with any clues?
