So I bought 10-12 fry from a guy about 6 months ago...

And they never colored up up until about 2 months ago. I finally have a pretty fish...

well I just moved him into the big tank... and he's already lost some color.

He is no longer top dawg...

Hopefully he will maintain some of that color and not lose it all.

If he does...he does... because he is reaping havoc in the smaller tank and disrupting my shellies and cyps from really showing their true colors.

I wonder if nitrates affect coloration?

And he's only about 2.5-3" so he's still pretty small.

I just went int there to check on the other male so see if his color is changing yet....

well I notice that I have 2 females holding.

they are very small so I imagine they will only yield a few fry each but you never know.
