Okay guys, I'm dragging my fiance fish shopping tomorrow. I get to bore him with fish :fish: details and excitement all day. He won't care, but he better humor me with a:woohoo:. Goal is to get a new fancy pleco. Maybe a snowball or a queen arabesque. I will just see what I can find. Will be posting pics asap:happydance:Just though I would share :)

Laura, every once in a while, my hubby will go to a LFS with me. He's actually starting to enjoy it now that he has found out that the hobby isn't as boring as he thought it was. lol Hopefully your fiance will discover that fishies aren't boring things that swim back and forth all day and will be a part of the hobby with you. Good luck! And yes, we require you to post pics of what you find. http://www.pushupstairs.com/images/emoticon/extra3/photo.gif

Congrats!!!!

I've been to countless dog trainings, rat shows, rat events, rat buying and not once has she gone to the LFS with me (or a fish related event/G2G).

Definitely let us see what you end up with...

Yeah, my wife used to be into Rat Shows (like a dog show, but 10,000 times more boring). Actually, "National Geographic" was at one of them (the TV show/station, Explorer) and we got to meet the host (hmmm, what is that guys name again?).

Scene control? I don't get it.

SWEEET!!!

So, how was the experience for him? Did he survive?

I caught my hubby sitting in front of the 10g tank I have the babies in, just watching them for like an hour last night. There is hope. http://www.pushupstairs.com/images/emoticon/blehnet/lookround.gif

Picked the fish up at Keller Farms. He seems to be doing well so far. He better, I paid enough for him. And the fiance survived...though he vowed never to go back...It was not the fish that bothered him, it was I-820. :) He was impressed with some of the fish though. He likes arowanas, clown knife and such. He insists however that silver dollars are just gizzard shad and texas cichlids are just bluegill. Oh and he loved the peacock bass and commented on how he wanted to go fishing for them. lol. It was rather entertaining I must say. I think I will take him somewhere not so hot and stuffy like DNA to show him some more diverse saltwater stuff one day...maybe next week...:)

Andrew, from my understanding and research L-102 gets about 6-7 inches, probly closer to six. Like pH about 6.5-7.5 or so and Temp mid to high 70's. I have mine at 78. He is doing well so far, I thought he would be stuck on my driftwood, but he perfers the corner of the tank behind some rocks. Finally saw him chowing down on an algae wafer, so I know he has been eating. Hopefully he will warm up some and move about the tank.

:D, I have to get a flashlight after lights out to see my 9" common. He and the 8" pictus catfish are rarely if ever seen with the lights on.

BTW... what'd you name him/her?
