Between that from blake and the bucket from chris I got less than .5" coverage. I still have some spots where it is pretty thin.

Here is a link to the 3m site talking about the color quartz for anyone who is interested in it.

Naa I'll go ahead and get some just to be safe I appreciate it, but if you can spare a baggie full of the red that'd be cool. It's kinda nice for breaking up the black just a touch.
I think I'm going to go by there tomorrow after my dentist appt. in the morning.

Would anyone know how much of each color I should get if I am filling a 150 gallon with S-grade? I am looking for maybe just 1 or 2 lbs of black and then mixing green and white (or maybe buff)

I can hook you up with the black.
What is the foot print for your tank?

Cool...thanks. If I get S grade white and green, would the T-grade Black look good...or would Tgrade all around be better?
Also, my tank is 6 ft long, not sure how wide, I will need to go home and measure.

I will have some black S grade by the end of this week.
If you do not mind the color of mine you can do a 50/50 mix and then a little black and you will be good. If you want lighter do like a 75lbs of white 25lbs of green and a few lbs of black.
I think 100lbs will be fine for you.
I wanna say I used 5 bags of T on my (just under 8") tank and it looks nearly perfect- so on a 6 tank- you'd probably be in good shape.
Add dark colors in small amounts- mix and check it out- dark colors go a LONG way.

ok cool. Yes, I was wanting to do a color combo like you had on your tank in the back room on the left with the exception of adding just a little black.

It is clearing up, I have this thing layered more than I want but can't do anything about it now cept live with it. Oh well, I'll probably do one more water change to help clear it up but you can at least see the back of the tank now...:)

What colors look good with added to black? I am wanting to get some of this black T grade. How many bags should I need for a 55 long?

One bag will cover your 55g.... but if you are looking for something pretty deep you want a bag and a half....

You seem to be the expert on this Blake, so I will get a bag and a half, if I can talk George into dropping by that store for me. Is it hard to clear the water after adding black, or did I misunderstand the posts?

Do you have any pictures?
Are there any distributors on the FW side of the metroplex?
Was considering sand, but like the color quality of this.
Do you like it better than sand?

I like it better then sand, it does not seem to kick up as much, easier to gravel vac, color options and it is pretty cheap.
I am not sure of anyone on the FW side. 3M has list of vendors on their site.
