the shape looks like an ahli, but without full coloration, its hard to tell. it seems to have a more elongated body than a peacock, but its hard to say...
Im with electric blue. X3 Its kinda hard to tell. They are usually aggressive as well from what I understand.

Where did you get it and what did you pay for it?
It does look like it has some Sciaen. fryeri (electric blue) in it from the head shape, but the color is very wrong. The yellow belly and yellow dorsal are not traits of this fish. My initial thought is S. fryeri x Aulonocara spp. But I'm curious to where you got and what you paid for it before I say for sure.

A friend in mansfield and he said it was a male lemon jake. I paid $10.

looks like an auluncara type to me... But i could be wrong. Everything seems to look like a peacock recently. Really though, haps have a different shape, so I would think a peacock of some kind. a lemon jake is an auluncara, so may be right.

as stated above...the face is to long to be peacock...IMHO
its got to have some electric blue ahli...may be mixed with some sort of peacock.
how big is the fish?

You have another photo of it? With the blue and the orange it looks like my Melanochromis Exasperatus. Check out this thread for photos of mine.

I would need to see another photo and be able to see the colors more.
