The name might not stick but I like it, lol. She's tiny, 2¼" tops! Sticky almost makes two of her in width and lenth! I think he loves her though. They were hiding out in the log that I got from Haiven, this was the first time I've seen them since Monday. They even ate together tonight, lol.
Chris, did you ever notice that her right fin (I call them wing fins), the one behind her hook, is deformed? Hers comes up over her side instead of collapsing into itself along her side like it should. She doesn't have any trouble though...she's a speedy little thing!
At first I thought it was because she was up against the glass but it stayed like that as she moved around. This was the first time I really got to see her interact and she's fine with it.

That's what I thought too Brandy!:D I bet your beaky fish is a cutie too...

He's an albino bristlenose, but he likes his women dark apparently. What can I say here...he's been feeling the need for lovin' and like most first timers, he ain't partial. They've already got the honeymoon hideaway picked out, foregoing the PVC completely lol.
Thank you both!
my son said something about her fin- but I, like you, assumed it was the body position and the glass. Strange... If she doesn't produce, or produces deformed fish- I'll give you another. Sorry. :o
Plano Pets has a Krib with a "beak"- I told Mike I wanted her- but he wouldn't catch her for me.
Great pic by the way. Start a thread and tell us how you managed to take such a great close up- I need to learn how to take pics... I stink at it.

As long as they keep each other happy, I don't care what they do. Should she have litter that's deformed, I have a spot for her in the 20g so it doesn't happen again. She's a part of the family now so that's as far as she'll go and don't feel bad however this turns out.
Also, it might not be a "birth" deformity...she could've been gobbled and spit back out a little worse for wear when she was a speck.
At any rate...you can't have her back, she be Steeeecky's girl now!;)
She's had a name change too...now she's Dottie:D

That's cute..DOTTIE!!! I don't think it's a birth defect....I think it usually is something that happens after birth! But if not we will all have GIMP BN...and still love them!

haha, speaking of deformed fish, my angel, Sir Dorothy that has a mouth injury is healing well, but he is going to have a funky deformed beak too. Eh, I still love him. :hehe: Haha, his name is Sir Dorothy because when he was tiny tiny I got him and 4 other angels. I went to name them and guessed their sexes as best I could for baby angels. Impossible I know. However, I got the other 4 sexes correct, but not Dorothy. I named him Dorothy because I thought he was a girl, and then he grew up to be a boy, haha, so I just added "Sir" before his name. I think he has a complex.rotflmao

She is probably a he. See the little bristles on the edges of the mouth? My females have absolutely no bristles at all. Watch for them to grow into the middle and the up the middle of his head from there.

If it were a male, would they like to shack up in the log together?
I've always heard that the females will have very few bristles. When I got Sticky, he was a tad smaller and already had a small ridge.

Bra8ndy8, had gotten your PM but it disappeared. Not sure what the issue is on the other site, sure is lots of bickering going on. I will hang out here too, seems like a lot of the same old gang.
