looks to be some hybrid gourami or cichlid. i thought you where actualy going to show a picture of a rat.

Preciate ya....but I did end up looking. It is Ct. acutirostre. Spotted Climbing Perch. Get about 6"-will eat small fish when larger. They lose the cool pattern when big too...A type of 'gourami'...anabantoid, that is.

I have one that I have had for a long time. They are a climbing perch. They are also called a leaf fish. Mine is really cool. One day I noticed a thumping noise coming from my aquarium and realized that I had sprinkled a little food on the lid of the aquarium when I had fed them. He was leaping out of the water and getting it off of the lid. It was really cool.

They do get about 6 inches long. You can get little ones at Petsmart, but they are usually only about 1" long.
