I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality and variety of bettas they get. Which Petco did you find these beautes at?

I just love the butterfly ones. The Pet Cos in my area don't get too many that I've seen (or maybe they go just really fast when they come in?). It's fun to look through their stock and hunt for treasures like these though. Congrats on your finds!

thanks for moving my reply to its own thread...i didnt know whether to start a new one or just add on to the other one. but thanks again. well...i've been raising bettas for practically as long as i can remember..but didnt start breeding them until i was about 15 years old. i actually was never really successful at growing out a spawn, but came close a few times. that was just because i didnt have the right equipment..i was young and broke....but now its alot easier to raise out spawns but i am sure i can still use alot of help. which is why im here!...i'll put pictures of my butterfly spawning with a black green lace female i have in the breeding process right now and hope you guys will like them. take kare and see ya around!...

Welcome to the Fish Box! Always glad to have another Betta person on here. Those are some pretty Bettas. I find good ones at the Petco near me also.. the one at 35 and 288.

Have any questions about Bettas, I'll be glad to answer them. I'm also a member of the Betta Society and we have monthly meetings if you ever want to join in :)

txbabycat thank you for the invites..i would love to come sometimes, but i forgot to add that i got those bettas from two different locations..one here in plano off of 15 street and alma...and from the petco at firewheel off of GBTP. i just came back from the one off of GBTP and they didnt seem to have any good looking ones yet. there was one with excellent butterfly finnage that was almost green masked..but had a deformity on his head just above his mouth...it looked like a tumor... oh yeah..how do you become a member in the betta society?

You can check out the meetings and then decide if you want to join us. Its $20.00 annual fee to join our group. We work the Betta shows and auctions when they are in town and also have our monthly meetings.
