Hi I am new to the site.
I have had a freshwater tank for years, I can not seem to get the alkaline or ph down. I am not losing any fish the water just appears cloudy. I have 2 water changes in the last month with ph down and another product to take away the alkaline but nothing has helped. Any suggestions besides transfering all the fish to clean the tank? It is 60g and has about 30 fish mostly platys,guppies, and a few mollies.

From a guy I bought a tank from on craigslist -- he wanted to know if I saw his ad on dfwfishbox or cl....whoops -- I guess that means his had to be a member here to post his ad -- so the vote should have been member.

Wish I could remember his name -- bought a 75 gallon with stand --- but had two high school kids pick it up, pay & deliver. This was in Oct 2008 -- I was able to switch out my 55 with the 75 without my husband noticing (same width & stand) lol! Sometimes you gotta do -- what you gotta do.

I have a job as a truck driver, which I have done for about 10 years. When I started driving I had to give up my salt end of my hobby because it takes a considerable additional amount of time. I heard of this web site through a friend who runs a fish store. The main reason for my coming here. was to find a soarce of small live food for the spawn of syno.petricola which I came up with a little sooner than expected. One of the threads on this site solved that problem very quickly,which I am grateful for. Thanks again for the culture.

A few years back I use to be on Dallas fishbox. I had a heart attack and stop keeping my tanks. I had 8 tanks. One was a 8 foot acrylic. At One time I kept frontosa's. I also Loved peacocks and cichlids. I am recovered and have started out with a 55 gallon tank. Ready to move up to a 125 or larger. If a person has ever loved being a fish keeper it is in the blood.
