Yeah, I saw some at one of the fist shores I was at a while back (can't remember which one though). Red Torpedo Barb is what they were calling them.

Very nice looking fish! I'd love to see a 10-12 member school in a heavily planted tank!!!

From what I can read, they would like a jet/stream of water in the tank (being stream/river fish). I assume since they're tetras they're pretty peaceful.

THey are quite peaceful. I have the spray bar from the cannister running from the top to bottom of the tank... gives them a nice stream to play in.

They get pretty big.... I think DNA has some good sized ones in their planted display, or maybe it was Just for Pets. One or the other has some nice sized ones in their planted display. Hell it might be both.

DNA has them in a display tank... saw them the other day. They look even better when they are fully grown.

Freakin' sweet idea. I didn't even think of that!!!

I did the same thing in the discus tank but, aimed the spray to go behind the rocks it keeps the poop from accumulating back there. The Discus seems to dig it also... get in the stream and swim their happy little asses off!

I was thinking about the "hide-ablity" of having it straight up and down.

Nice thinking there Michelle!
