I have seen alot of people on here saying I wish I had a pond.I was telling Howard (tetralover) the other day about my ponds and he thought that my hottub pond was a good idea. That got me thinking that maybe I should throw this out there for the dreamers that don't want to dig.Its not quite as natural looking but can be pretty and for sure its easy. The best part is people on craigslist are giving hot tubs away everyweek.I was not using mine so I converted it to a pond a couple years ago.I was at oddysey pets a couple weeks ago and saw there little pond with a waterfall and tried to do something similar.I made a little plant box with a homemade filter. It took a few hours to put together and just a little over $100 to make.

That is a neat idea and it looks like it works really well.

Hey I know this one sounds lazy but it was just sitting there not being used.My big ponds have already been dug for years.I was going to see if you wanted to trade your tank for a few of my Koi but your tank is gone now so you can slow down.My koi are a little overcrowded in there.I need to fix my leaker pond but i'm beat down on it.Everytime I fix it then a week later there is a new leak.FYI -Concrete ponds in Texas suck-

Drain it, clean it, throw a liner over the top of the concrete & refill....

Anyone know of a place to get a good pond pump? I really need to adress my pond. Then I'll be talking to someone about Koi.

Sounds easy but one of the reasons I went with concrete was to make an original shape so a liner is not very easily laid. Also I have a waterfall of rocks and have lined the top half of the pond with rocks.Much labor and hours of time just to clear out the pond for a liner. Not to mention over $200 for the peice I need.I am still thinking on it.

You can get them at lowes or home depot.I got the one on my hot tub pond from a fishbox member.I have had good luck on ebay finding them at good prices.
