here are couple of pictures of the german reds that I just picked up from Just for Pets. These pictures just do not do them any justice, the first one is do red its unreal.:D

Cahn has 2 or 3 more. If you want them you might give him a call and have him hold them for you. The two I got were 3.5 to 4 inches.

Where is just for pets? I purchase the majority of my fish in Burleson at The Fish House. The guys there are great and if they don't have a fish that you want, they will see if they can get it for you.

hey i wanted to give you a heads up, that those are not german red's but they are in fact Red shoulders or there real name NYASSE from the Aulonocara (AKA peacock) species.they also go by RedFlush peacock, redsided peacock, and aulonocara hansbanenschi. if you paid more then 40 bucks a piece you got ripped. the german reds are so valuable due to the scarcity and the fact not a single one occures in the wild. german reds are a great example of engineered-man made fish. But you seems to have found some high quality fish. just hope they havent been fed bring shrimp there entire life for the vivid colo, for it shortens their life span majorly and causes them to be prone to hexamita parasites and funguses such as popeye for example. sorry been studying cichlids all through of college and just recieved my masters in Marine Bio. later so tired

ok im weong i only saw the one picture but the second seems to look like a german red but just food for though german red is same as Aulonocara rubescens just break a little bigger.

you ever have any q's of type or species of cichlids let me know.... i also know alot about lake madagascar cichlids sorry for all spelling and punc errors so tired mids today killed me.... oh and beer
