Well...looks like my tank started to spike. One of my discus looks like crap the other is visibly stressed. Everyone else is acting normal, but it's obvious by the discus that the params were getting off. Just did a 40-50% quick change on the water. Keeping my eye on them though. :please:

Sure hate to hear you are having problems with your discus. Good luck!

Gotta wonder if something is going on with the water supply. Skipp suddenly lost a fish a few days ago. I lost two yesterday. And now your's aren't acting normal. Hopefully your's will pull through. Keep us up to date.

I think something is going on with the water too! I have had my planted set up for years...and haven't lost anything EVER to disease...and then my shark comes up with bloat!! Maybe they are trying to overcompensate after the flood!

Yes, they may be adding more stuff to the water supply. In the fall, it usually is ammonia! Do waterchanges, but make sure that you use a good ammonia capturing chemical stuff.. like ammo-lock, prime or safe to condition your water. If you can get the water aged and warmed the right temp (84f-86) that helps, also try adding aeration. I lost one of my HUGE pigeonbloods (8+") last week for no reason either. It is a mystery.

Well it seems like it's just one. He may be a goner at this point. All the rest of the fish seem to be doing fine.

Seems to be what's happening to others. One or two don't make it while the others are fine. Dunno...

Nah he started doing that before the w/c. I think the TDS were way high in the tank. The water change may have just expidited the problem with the discus. He's still going, but doesn't look good

Mine are all spawning like crazy...go figure. Usually around October the water parameters seem to change, along with the weather systems coming through. I'll have discus spawn during this timeframe that won't spawn all year long. I had 3 laying eggs at the same time last night...I contribute that to the cold front.

if youre sure the water is fine do water change after water change...50% or more a day...but only if youre sure the change water is good.

I lost him. The other discus is fine....for now. I don't know how long it'll be fine all alone though.
All the remaining fish are doing well. No clue what was wrong with the other one. body was fine collor was dark from being stressed out & it swam almost like it was paralized on one side.

Oh so sorry to hear that. Everyone seems to be having water problems. I randomly lost a couple of fish last week. No sign of disease. Let us know how your other discus does.

He's still doing really good. I probably should let him go to another home. The new angel chases him some & without his swimmin buddy I worry for his health.
